Prawle Point - QAVS


Welcome to NCI Prawle Point lookout station.

NCI Prawle Point is a recipient of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

The Prawle Point Watchstation stands 200 feet above sea level at the most southerly point in Devon.

Visitor Policy
Visitors are normally most welcome at the lookout although, when an incident is ongoing, this may not always be convenient and the duty watchkeeper may ask visitors to call back later. NCI Prawle Point has a Visitor Centre which is full of interesting and useful information.
Access

The lookout is close to the SW Coast path. Access is by a fairly steep part of the coast path from the NT car park.

Overfalls and tide races off Start Point, Prawle Point and Bolt Head. Salcombe Bar.

Visual features of station
The lookout is a white painted building on the southern-most extremity of Prawle Point. It is an old Lloyds signal station and Coastguard lookout and has a flagstaff.
