These statistics assist the Board of Trustees to assess the types of incidents we deal with and direct resources to those areas most in need. They also enable them to ensure that watchkeeper training evolves in the light of changing trends.

During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.

Please note that in 2010 the criteria for recording incidents were changed.
