During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.


Please note: NCI Canvey Island was previously know as NCI Holehaven and moved location on Monday 18 October 2021. All NCI Canvey Island Incident Summaries before that date will be in respect of NCI Holehaven at its previous location.

42223 06/06/2022 NCI Felixstowe NCI observed small yacht change course and beach. HMCG informed, CRT tasked.CRT contacted skipper, who had beached deliberately to get provisions. Vessel had just been purchased., Equipment on vessel and fuel levels were inadequate, so harbourmaster towed casualty to boatyard. NCI No Yes 015234
42176 06/06/2022 NCI Torbay NCI overheard a call from HMCG to CRT re. MOP stuck on cliff, hanging onto a tree. Not able to establish visual. 42203 03/06/2022 NCI Bass Point Mayday from cabin cruiser with engine fire. 1 POB. HMCG responded immediately. Cargo vessel and other vessel responded. NCI observed vessel at updated position, no sign of fire. Second vessel to , respond arrived and took off one person. AWLB tasked and reached casualty, and reported hot spots associated with engine. 42088 31/05/2022 NCI Bass Point MOP advised NCI of an injured person on coast path. HMCG advised - position given by WTW. Injury was twisted ankle and casualty was able to make way to medical facility privately. NCI No Yes 014315
