During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.


Please note: NCI Canvey Island was previously know as NCI Holehaven and moved location on Monday 18 October 2021. All NCI Canvey Island Incident Summaries before that date will be in respect of NCI Holehaven at its previous location.

42363 23/06/2022 NCI Rame Head NCI heard Mayday relay re. yacht on fire west of lookout. HMCG informed they had visual. 2 vessels nearby offered assistance, 2 casualties in water, recovered by one vessel, LB escorted to harbour., Casualties taken to hospital, and despite fire hose from other vessel, yacht sank. 42326 20/06/2022 NCI Froward Point HMCG advised NCI of ongoing incident involving seven kayakers in difficulty, just out of sight of lookout. Requested visual monitoring.
