Welcome to the NCI Bass Point lookout station.
NCI Bass Point is a recipient of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service and has Declared Facility status. For radio checks, the inshore waters forecast and local weather conditions call direct on VHF Channel 65. The station brodcasts a local weather report twice daily at 08:15 and 15:45 during winter hours and at 08:45 and 15:45 during summer hours.
Visitor Policy
Visitors are welcome at Bass Point but at the discretion of the duty watch keeper. An explanation will be given on the role we play, which includes reporting any problems to Falmouth Coastguard. When required, we will assist with ongoing incidents and assist the Search and Rescue facilities.
Access
This station has restricted access, entry to the watchroom being by a near vertical set of wooden steps.

The Met Office Inshore Waters Forecast for Lyme Bay to the Isles of Scilly and current local weather and sea conditions at Bass Point are available by phone and VHF Channel 65 during watch hours. Local conditions are transmitted at 08:15 and 15:45.
