Welcome to NCI Portland Bill lookout station

NCI Portland Bill is a recipient of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

NCI Portland Bill is situated at an elevation of 50 metres above sea level approximately 500 metres north of the Portland Bill Lighthouse.

The Portland Bill team are proud of their Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS).

Visitor Policy
Visitors are normally welcome at the discretion of the duty watchkeeper however during the Covid-19 lockdown period we are operation a solo watch regime in accordance with the dictates of HM government, which prohibits us from allowing access to visitors. Once the emergency is over we will hopefully be able to open again to visitors.

The lookout was an old white painted Coastguard Tower which was rebuilt in 2006 as a brick/metal framed building clad in white. The tower has a flagstaff.
