5th March 2023. Today is St Piran’s Day and the National Coastwatch Institution stations in Cornwall would like to wish our colleagues around England Gool Peran Lowen (Happy St Pirans  Day in Cornish).

There are thirteen operational stations in Cornwall , including the very first station at Bass Point and the most westerly station at Cape Cornwall. The charity’s National Office is also situated in Cornwall in Liskeard. Like all of the NCI, the Cornish stations are manned by volunteers and most are open every day of the year.

So to all our NCI members and to our colleagues in the RNLI, HM Coastguard and all of the blue light services  we say‘ Meur Ras’ (Thank you)
