22ndSeptember 2022. The High Sheriff of Cornwall, Andrew Williams, is continuing his tour of all of the National Coastwatch Institutions Cornish stations. The NCI in Cornwall is one of his two chosen charities for his 2022 to 2023 tenure. Earlier this month he visited the NCI station at St Agnes Head where he presented Watchkeeper Mr B Cole with his well-earned Veteran Certificate after 6 years of dedicated service.

A couple of days later, Andrew visited the NCI station at Penzance station accompanied by his wife and son and met with several of the team. Occupying the old Gunnery Observation Tower at Chyandour, the station, overlooks Mounts Bay from the beaches at Marazion to the entrance to Penzance harbour. The Sheriff was particularly interested in the views from the stations CCTV camera.
