11th May 2022. The High Sheriff of Cornwall is undertaking a tour of planned visits to all of the National Coastwatch Institution stations along the coast of Cornwall.
High Sheriff Andrew Williams started his tour with a visit to NCI Portscatho which is the smallest station in the county. In spite of the rain, gale force winds and a walk across the muddy field, he enjoyed the visit and was very impressed with the station and the NCI in general. The High Sheriff intends to visit all the other Cornish stations before October and has set a target of raising some £65,000 for the NCI stations in Cornwall.
