16th April 2022. The NCI station at Brancaster became fully operational on 15th April as a new stand-alone station. The following day, the watchkeepers spotted four people and their dog stranded on an island having been cut off by the tide. They informed HM Coastguard who tasked the Coastguard Rescue Team. NCI Hornsea watchkeepers guided them to the casualties and observed as an adult and child were recovered. The Coastguard hovercraft arrived soon after and removed the remaining people to safety.
