NCI BOSCASTLE PRESENT 60 YEARS OF LONG SERVICE AWARDS AT PRESENTATION EVENING

1st March 2022. NCI Boscastle have held their annual Presentation and Dinner at the Wellington Hotel in Boscastle. The event was well attended and was enjoyed by all present as it was the first time the team had been able to meet face-to-face in over two years.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of five long service awards totalling 60 years’ service with the NCI. The awards were presented by Jonathan Rothwell, the Liaison Trustee for Southwest Devon and Cornwall supported by Boscastle Station Manager Chris Evans. Unfortunately, several of the recipients were unable to attend. The Long service awards were:

June Pollard - 5 years’ service

Bob Ginger (Trainer and H&S Officer) - 10 years’ service

Nick Bromwich - 10 years’ service

Phil Brown (DSM, Secretary & trainer) - 15 years’ service

John Davis (Previous Station Manager & the only remaining founder member of the station) - 20 years’ service

A certificate of appreciation was also presented to station Fundraiser Trevor Lloyd for his outstanding work in. While NCI Boscastle have always managed to centralise significant funds each year, it is largely due to Trevor's hard work that they have remitted £23,100 in the last 3 years alone.

The evening finished with the announcement from the Wellington Hotel that they had raised £80 for Boscastle station.
