31/072022. The annual two-day St Buryan steam rally took place this weekend and the National Coastwatch Institution stations at Cape Cornwall and Gwennap Head both had stalls at the event.

Gwennap Head had a ‘human fruit machine’ which proved to be very popular, while next door the volunteers of Cape Cornwall had a tombola and a range of NCI branded merchandise for sale. The stalls proved very popular with visitors and raised much needed funds for the stations. Amongst the many visitors who visited the stalls was local MP Derek Thomas who was accompanied by MP Andrew Stephenson, Chairman of the Conservative Party.
