3rd April 2019.More than £10,000 has been raised for the National Coastwatch Institution Froward Point Coastwatch station by fundraising events at Sainsbury’s.

In store fundraising events, including bag packing, at the Sainbury’s superstore on Yalberton Road have raised an astonishing £10,474 over the last eight years.

Watchkeeper Rosemary Ellerby said “A stunning amount of support has been shown for the NCI Froward Point Coastwatch station by Sainsbury’s Paignton superstore. Over the last eight years our in-store fund raising events have raised the amazing total of £10,474! This very special support, to keep the lookout operational 365 days a year, is much appreciated and for this Glyn Watkin, Mark Tidy (Station Manager and Treasurer) and the whole Froward Point NCI team are enormously grateful to the Sainsbury’s Paignton superstore.
