10th July 2022. On Friday 1st July, the team from the National Coastwatch Institution station at Worms Head were invited to attend the 200th Anniversary of the formation of HM Coastguard.

The event was held at Milford Haven and organised by the Milford Haven Maritime Rescue and Co-ordination Centre and NCI Worms Head were represented by Watchkeepers Tom, John and Ernie. After a wreath laying ceremony, a service was held at St Katharine and St Peter's Church. This was followed by a buffet lunch and long service medal presentations were made at the Royal British Legion.

The NCI was widely acknowledged during the ceremony and the volunteers at NCI Worm's Head are especially proud of the role they carry out alongside HM Coastguard as part of the Search and Rescue community.
