NCI STATIONS MONITORING WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT BY STAND-UP PADDLEBOARDER

11th May 2021. NCI stations are keeping their eyes open for Brendan Price who is attempting the world record to circumnavigate mainland Britain and be the first stand-up paddleboarder to travel from Land’s End to John O Groats via the coastline. The NCI are working with Brendan’s team to monitor his progress.

After crossing the starting line of his third world record attempt and fighting huge winds and waves to make it to Land’s End, Brendon is over 260km into his circumnavigation of mainland Britain and has now rounded Land’s End. During this leg of his attempt, Brendon has been observed and logged by several NCI stations already.

Brendon spent two full on land waiting for the correct tide and weather conditions before successfully paddling from Porthgwarra to Sennen Harbour and the next few days of paddling will see Brendon paddle up towards the Bristol Channel where he will be monitored by several NCI stations as he comes within their visual range. Brendon’s support team and the NCI will continue to work together during the world record attempt.
