25th August/2022. Before the weekend, the National Coastwatch Institution station at St Donats Bay spent a couple of great days working with the Nautical Leadership Experience groups at UWC Atlantic College..

The team of volunteer watchkeepers explained to the students all about the work the NCI do and described the skills involved. They were also involved in giving the students plenty of exercises in practicing coastal recognition, estimating distances and bearings, chartwork, tides, weather forecasting and VHF skills.
