NCI RAME HEAD BENEFITS FROM MARATHON IN MEMORY OF WATCHKEEPER

28th October 2022. When Tim Crook, a long-standing volunteer watch keeper at the National Coastwatch Institution  station at Rame Head, passed away earlier this year, his son, Rob, decided he would honour his memory by running the London Marathon, and donate the proceeds  to NCI Rame Head. The picture shows  Station Manager, Arnie Kaptein receiving a cheque for £1200 from Rob, along with Colin Scott, the previous Station Manager, who shared a watch with Tim for almost ten years.

Arnie commented that Tim would have been so proud of Rob in completing this feat.

The donation will be used to  upgrade vital equipment at the Station.
