NCI PORTHDINLLAEN’S STATION MANAGER & SECRETARY STEP DOWN AFTER NEARLY A DECADE IN POST

9th September 2020. Husband and wife team Tony and Miriam Heald received a prolonged, well earned, round of applause at NCI Porthdinllaen’s recent AGM when they officially retired from the posts of Station Manager and Secretary respectively.

Both had served tirelessly in these posts for 9 years and although they would say everything has been a team effort, it is no exaggeration to say that without their huge contribution the station would not be in the strong, well established, position it finds itself in today. Mention should also be made of the additional roles the couple undertook with Miriam as, among other things, Social Secretary and Tony’s deep involvement in the maintenance of the station building and its equipment.

They took over at a time of some ‘uncertainty’ and as Tony has often been heard to mutter: “I was supposed to retire after 3 years!” Not that Tony & Miriam have retired, they intend to carry on as duty watchkeepers at NCI Portdinllaen.

”Many, many thanks Tony & Miriam.”…… From the entire NCI team at Porthdinllaen.
