16th November 2021. The volunteer watchkeepers from the National Coastwatch Institution station on the Great Orme have received a very welcome donation from the Co-op.
At the beginning of the year, NCI Great Orme was chosen as one of three local good causes to benefit from the Co-op Community fund. This weekend the station received a cheque for £2298.28, which was the largest of the share of the fund which had been raised throughout the year. NCI Great Orme were also able to have a stand outside the Co-op. Station Manager John Humberstone said “We also collected a substantial amount of donations and gave out loads of information about the NCI and a few application forms. All in all this was a very successful conclusion to our year as one of the Coop Local Community Fund good causes”..
