16th April 2022. Today the National Coastwatch Institution at Chapel Point held a Safety Awareness Day at the North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point.
The main focus of the event was to provide information and advice on how to keep yourselves and your children safe at the seaside as well as what to do with marine wildlife and the dangers of leaving litter. The volunteers from NCI Chapel Point were joined by colleagues from HM Coastguard, British Divers Marine Life Rescue, St Johns Ambulance and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. As well as giving advice, the NCI Watchkeepers also held a Tombola and a raffle to raise money for their station.
A spokesperson for NCI Chapel Point said “A huge thank y ou to all the organisations who took part, and to Pocklingtons Bakery who donated two wonderful cakes for our raffle”.
