6th October 2022. To mark a rewarding Spring and Summer for the National Coastwatch Institution Porthdinllaen station Watchkeepers, Station Manager Andy Smith and his wife Kay recently hosted a Family Fun Day for the volunteer watchkeepers, along with their families and friends.

The event was held in the garden of Andy & Kay’s home; and about 60 people enjoyed a barbecue; and each other’s company, as well as taking part in a charity auction and raffle. These were kindly supported by donations from several local businesses and other individuals. Thanks to the generosity of those present the Station’s funds received a considerable boost, which will support the ongoing updating of The Station following the connection of an electrical supply.
