25th April 2022. It’s not often the National Coastwatch Institution Watchkeepers get to celebrate an exchange of wedding vows at their Watch Station. But at NCI Gwennap Head today a couple decided this was where they would like to be to make their vows.

 The sun was shining and a gentle Southern Easterly breeze was blowing as Richard and Sarah arrived along with their witnesses, family and friends. Station Manager Ian Vinnicome presented the bride and groom with a bottle of bubbly on behalf of NCI Gwennap Head.

A spokesperson for NCI Gwennap Head said “Richard had enjoyed rock climbing in front of our Watch which is a favourite cliff climbing spot for many climbers and the military. Gwennap Head NCI was the venue of choice for Richard and Sarah and their friends to celebrate their wedding and make their vows. Its not often we have such a happy occasion to witness and log, We wish Richard and Sarah every happiness in their new life together”.
